Professors of SWJTU proposed the world一known "Zhai (Zhai Wanming)一Sun (Sun Xiang) Model" and the Locomotive-Track Coupling Dynamics Theory. The application of the "Zhai一Sun Model" and the Theory in over 10 key projects, including the development and design of China locomotives, the speed一raising of existing railways, expansion of capacities for the railways in mountainous regions, heavy-haul freight transportation, and passenger dedicated line construction, creates remarkable economic and social benefits and contributes immensely to the modernization of China's railways.
