High-speed Rail Contact Network Technology Based on Coupling Dynamics: The Technological Innovation and Application of Pantograph System

      SWJTU has developed a complete theoretical system encompassing several independent innovations in system theory, experimental evaluation and practical application. The university has designed the dynamics modeling of Pantograph-OCS system comprised of HSR lines, Pantograph-OCS and fluid-structure coupling. Dr. Zhang Weihua, who was in charge of developing simulation platform of dynamic operation of pantograph, was the first Chinese Scholar awarded Thomas Hawksley. In addition, SWJTU has developed current-carrying test platform featured by High voltage tolerance, heavy current and strong airflow interference. Characterized by low noise and low resistance, the pantograph for aerodynamic characteristics experiment with world's fastest experimental speed (600 km/h) is made by SWJTU.
