Based on researches in the fields of both engineering and medicine, we developed the theory system of tooth friction and attrition, elaborated on the function development mechanism of the natural tooth friction pair, and proposed several design codes for anti-friction restoration on the tooth surface. Such achievements have been applied in clinical practice in Sichuan University Huaxi Stomatology Hospital，promoting and leading the development of dental tribology in the field of international bio-tribology.
