Study on Targeted Polypeptide Anticancer Drugs

Date:2018-04-23

The research team of SWJTU has developed the antitumor polypeptide P201 based on the proteins in the DNA binding area of FoxMic through high throughput screening, which has high affinity with FoxMic as well as the strong killing effect and selectivity towards many cancer cells such as hepatoma HepG2. This particular type of polypeptide has a potential foreground of being exploited as the precursor of polypeptide drugs. In addition, it can be expected to be used as a marker of tumor diagnosis, which could be applied to early diagnosis of tumor.
