Key Laboratory of Transportation Tunnel Engineering, Ministry of Education

      The Key Laboratory of Transportation Tunnel Engineering，Ministry of Education was authorized to be established in 2011.

      The overall research objective of the laboratory is to ensure the safety, environmental protection and energy conservation of the large and complex transportation tunnel projects. Four research directions are outlined, consisting of the design theory and the special structure, the construction and repair and maintenance technology, the dynamic characteristics and anti-shock technology, and the disaster prevention and energy saving ventilation control technology of the transportation tunnel project. The laboratory has 38 researchers at present, including one academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, one scholar for the Changjiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education and one scholar for the National Outstanding Youth Program. The laboratory has an area of over 10,000 square meters. The total value of the equipment is worth more than 30 million yuan. The laboratory has won the second prize for the national scientific and technological progress twice, the provincial-level awards over 40 times, and has published over 10 monographs.
