On May 26, an assessment meeting of SWJTU’s science and technology project “Theory and Key Technologies of Railway Wind-Vehicle-Bridge Coupled Dynamics and Their Applications in Engineering”was held in Chengdu organized by the Science and Technology Department of Sichuan Province.
The assessment panel was made up of top researchers from China’s leadinguniversities in railway and engineers from key railway design and construction companies. They listened to the project report and examined the supporting materials of the report. After rounds of Q&As and discussions, the experts came to the conclusion that the project outcomes were cutting-edge achievements and the methodologies applied in experiment and calculation met the top international standards. In the end, the project passed the assessment with unanimous agreement from the experts who also suggested further application of the research achievements in real practice.
