SWJTU Hosts National Science &Technology Conference for Colleges and Universities 2014

      On April 11, the National Science &Technology Conference for Colleges and Universities 2014 was held in the Jinniu Hotel, Chengdu. Present at the meeting were Vice Minister Du Zhanyuan of Ministry of Education, Vice Governor Huang Yanrong of Sichuan Province, Director of Science & Technology Department, Ministry of Education, Wang Yanjue, Head of Science &Technology Department of Sichuan Province, Zhu Shihong, Deputy Director of Department of Development Planning of Science &Technology Department, Ministry of Education, Ye Yujiang and Wang Yongzhi, Chief Engineer of China CNR Corporation Limited. On behalf of SWJTU, President Xu Fei was present at the meeting. Deputy Director of Science &Technology Department, Ministry of Education, Lei Caozi, hosted the meeting in the morning, and the rest part in the afternoon was conducted by the Director of Science &Technology Department, Ministry of Education, Wang Yanjue.

      The main task of this meeting is to push forward the implementation of the spirit from the 18th CPC National Congress and the Third Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the CPC, make in-depth analysis of the new situation faced by colleges and universities in science and technology work, and grasp the central task of deepening the system reform of university’s science and technology work. Meanwhile, participants in the meeting reviewed and summarized achievements and progress made in 2013, and mapped out the deployment of main tasks of science and technology system reform for 2014.

      The representatives of science and technology management departments from local administrative departments of education, universities under the administration of the Ministry of Education, universities on partnership programs and some provincial-level universities attended the meeting.
